I have been natural for 2 1/2 almost 3 years. And I’m seriously thinking about perming my hair again cause it’s so hard for me to find someone to do my hair. Wether it’s braiding or a style. It’s starting to get really irritating. But I’m nervous to perm my hair and in 2 weeks get a color put in it for my bday. And all this is costing $200. And I’m having to travel 4hours just to get my hair done. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ I don’t know what I wanna do.
🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ I know I know. And it’s so irritating. I do imma check them out. Thank you!!!
@macinkaimomma, I understand. I never let anyone else do my hair because they used to charge me more for having long hair and more for being natural. Also I’m picky about who I let in my hair because not everyone knows how to do natural hair.
I use the Mielle organics line. If you have Instagram go check them out before you buy.
@kalidream, thank you. I’m trying but it’s getting really difficult being in this small town when stylers are picky about who hair they be wanting to do. what products did u use or are currently using?
When I first became natural the only style I knew how to do was singles. I wore singles off and on for the first 2 years. I eventually learned how to do other things like twist outs/braid outs... YouTube didn’t really help me much either. Try and be patient if you really want to stay natural.
I’ve been natural 6.5 years and it’s taken me a really long time to love my hair. Make sure you are using the right products for your hair type.
@angelfoodcake, I do I do I do but it’s getting super hard to maintain especially during this pregnancy.
@sincerepolicy, I’ve been watching countless videos on YouTube and the styles don’t come out right too me. Idk what I be doing wrong.
Learn how to style your hair girl. You know exactly how you want it. YouTube is your best friend.
I understand completely. I was natural for 6 years and decided to relax my hair back in June. I have never felt better. Other women can tell you to stick it out, get to know your hair, and so on but it’s not worth it. Stressing about hair is such a minute thing that doesn’t need to be done, especially since every time you do your hair it becomes a experiment. Regardless of if you know your hair or not, a twist out, braid out, whatever could come out as a fail. It’s just not worth it to spend all that time and then still have to figure out how to look decent to go to work.
