Surrendering my dog is about to be so hard. I am still looking for ways to explain to my daughter that our dog will no longer be with us. He’s been kind of snapping at her and showing signs of jealousy. Just don’t want to risk him hurting her

Be sure to mention that to the shelter you’re giving him to so they can place him in the correct home

So sorry momma! I'm sure it's hard but you're absolutely right. Are there any animal foster programs in your area that might be able to take him? Probably a better likelihood of getting placed in the right family that way. And yes, definitely tell them about that behavior so he doesn't go to another home with small kids.

It’s hard but I’m going to have to do the same before my son is born. I have had this pit bull mix since he was a puppy and we have been so good to him since the day we laid eyes on him. He’s just so possessive towards our other dog when it comes to food and getting affection. He’s caused bad fights between them in the blink of an eye, scaring the whole family so bad. I literally do not want to imagine how I’d feel if any of that ever went down in front of my son. I’d feel so guilty and devastated, I think we have to do what’s best for our babies no matter what. I hope all goes well for you girl.

@babymamamoore, yes and we have had him since he was 9 months he is now 4 but I can see he is unhappy and he isn’t taking to our daughter. So we have to make this very hard decision
