Thanks ladies, it looks like the consensus is to go for it. I wasn’t initially convinced. I knew the risks of epidural and still had it as my primary method of pain relief in my birth plan. But then we went to a preparing for labour course over the weekend and the side effects became very real. Plus I was also told I might not be able to have it if there is a drop in my iron levels. So I thought I better look at other pain relief.
Still hoping I will be one of those ladies who are in labour and don’t realise it because the pain is not so bad at all. 😂😂
I used it right the way through till almost pushing. I was in pre-labour for 5days so found it helped a little with that. Definitely worth a go I'd say.
I did for the first 6 hours (labour for 13 hours- only came off as I went in the pool). It was the most amazing thing in the world. After that came off in the pool with gas and air and half a dose of paracetamol as I threw up the other half due to too much lucosade. I definitely recommend one xx
I did with both of mine, make sure it's a pregnancy one tho. It's very effective, 1st I used tens and had paracetamol and 1 codeine tablet, 2nd tens and had and air x
