So decided to get my tubes tied after our next baby as I only want two bio children (planning to adopt one for a total of 3 kids) but I really want to aim for a VBAC with my last. Has anyone had their tubes tied while NOT during a Csection? What was the procedure? Laparoscopic?

I had mine done when my dd was 4 months. 2 tiny incisions. One in my belly button and one on my bikini line. But i will say the pain after the surgery is killer. Lots of cramps. It was terrible for me.

@supermom.bossbitch, thanks for replying sorry to hear you had a rough recovery. If I have a repeat csection then that will be the only positive but I hate BC and being so careful during sex can be a mood killer 😂

I had mine done the day after my daughter was born. They went in laparoscopically through my belly button. I had a total of 7 stitches and the scar is in my belly button. They put me out completely, but I was able to go home that night. They suggested I hug a pillow tight against the incision site when coughing, sneezing, or laughing. I also only needed Tylenol/ibuprofen for pain management. I not supposed to lift anything heavy until after my stitches were out either.
