Currently sitting in this room that is supposed to be my living room trying to figure out how I’m supposed to move half this stuff out, find a place for everything else and prepare for her arrival all in 5 weeks 😭😪 without being able to move any of the heavy stuff which should be the first step to the process.
All I have is my mom to help out during the day who juggles ten things a day including taking care of my grandma.
Really feeling the stress right now.
Like being stagnant without being able to do much to prepare or help move the process along.
Gah nesting is just causing me deep anxiety.

You can call some churches and see if they know anyone who can come help you

@milnera2014, that’s alright. Thanks for the suggestion though. I didn’t know churches did that. I have the muscle, I just don’t have the time or the space available to move this stuff around.
Their services would be wasted without my direction or open available space. 😕

@milnera2014, I feel that. It’s part of why I can’t ask for help either. I feel like it’s just my job to keep it all kept up with. Men have it soo easy. Lol

Get someone to take the boxes outside. Anything you don’t want place by the curb with a sign that says “free” it will vanish- trust me. Anything you do want just kind of push to the side for now until you can figure out where you want it. It’s not that bad at all- I can see how it’s overwhelming though. If I could lift I could have that organized in a good 20 minutes.

@amysbabies, yeah exactly if I could lift, I’d have it all moved by now.
It’s not stuff I can sell or put out on the curb, it’s my grandmas stuff that we need to find a place for.
The giant $25,000 rug we can’t just throw in the wet garage, the boxes of personal files need to find a new home.
It’s a mess that isn’t entirely dependent on me to go through but every time I try to ask my father or grandma to try to do their part I’m told I’m acting entitled.
I’m just in wait.

@kmsespy, ahh that makes sense! Maybe someone could at least prop it up in the corner or behind the cabinet on the left side of the room to clear space in the middle? It’s so tough being at this stage in our pregnancies. A lot of things we are truly limited doing.

@amysbabies, right? I feel so bad my mom has to do all the work being retired but she loves putting things together for her grand daughter. Still I’m not used to being this limited.
I agree, I think I’ll have to recruit my brother and see if he can help momma and I move some stuff around so that I can at least move the furniture in the right place and possibly put the extras in our room till this weekend. 🤔 wish I wasn’t working though, I always feel pressed for time after work or on the weekends and I’m just too exhausted.
