Anyone else here a cna and have really bad contractions just from the heavy work, my facility tries to have us use hoyers alone and everytime I work a certain hall with 6 hoyers and all the people who cant roll very well i have these sharp pains all through my stomach and vagina 😓
You’re doing too much then. Let your boss know, if you need something from the doctor you can get it. At least you have hoyers. I wanted to go back to where I worked before I broke my foot but now that I’m pregnant I know I couldn’t handle it. I had 3-4 that I had to lift with a belt but needed a hoyer. We didn’t even have one in the facility!! I nearly dropped 2 residents just in the 2 months I worked there. I’m a strong little girl but no match for these 200-300lb people that I was expected to transfer all on my own. I worked night shift and they would have multiple people to help them during the day but because I was one of 2 at night, I shouldn’t need as much help.
I would go to your doctor and let them know what's going on and have them give you a doctor's note to put you on light duty. No job should be the reason why you lose or have your baby too early. I've worked in that field I know how hard it is I've also had to do hoyers but not while I was pregnant. I worked in a hotel during my pregnancy and was put on light duty then had to stop working after seven and a half months
