I’m so afraid of having a November baby. With the cold and flu going around, the holidays with a newborn, hsv, whooping cough 😰 Once she is born I’m afraid to have her around all the family. How can I possibly stop everyone from touching, holding and kissing her. 😩

All of my babies are winter babies my oldest being born in November. Get one of those signs to hang from car seat and make sure everyone washes hands before holding baby have hand sanitizer around and NO KISSING BABY no matter who it is

Just tell them no. And be firm about it. You are the mother and if they don't listen to you, keep the baby home away from them all. If they cared about the baby, they would not risk it's life.

My daughter was born in Sept but I'm worried about all of this as well. I bought a car seat cover and it makes me feel a little bit better going out in public. She's completely zipped up so people can't touch her. I also had all of my family get their TDAP and flu shots if they want to see the baby. There have already been 2 cases of whopping cough where I live and it scares the crap out of me that my oldest in kindergarten could catch it and bring it home.

@nvonehrenkrook, my parents have gotten the flu shot but my husbands family is so extremely big, I’m terrified of taking her to their houses for thanksgiving and Christmas because there is no way everyone has gotten it. And there are 10+ kids that are going to be there and who knows what kind of germs they have. I’m going to be guarding my daughter like a crazy lady. Lol

I’ve been feeling the same lately!! I’ve bought some anti bac gel to carry around with me, there’s some in his Moses basket to for anyone that wants to touch him. My oh said aren’t we gonna be rude asking people to clean their hands and asking them not to kiss him I’m like no unless u want him to get sick 🤢. There’s so many bugs going around and I certainly don’t want my son catching any of them!!!xx

@sara672014 I don't blame you. None of my husbands family will get the flu shot or TDAP so they haven't met my daughter and they won't till April or May when the flu season is over. Luckily my family is good about not kissing her. Even when I kiss her it's on the top of her head or on the back of it.
