Maybe you can try have someone else try to feel her a few times before you try. She knows you have that breast for milk so she’s much rather nurse from your breast. Eventually she’ll get the hang of things.

Could you maybe try a sippy cup or something?

I use Pigeon Peristaltic teats on Avent bottles because Rylan hated the Avent teats. @messybunmom idea of maybe getting someone else to try a few times til she's used to it might help to. She would associate you with the boob and is probably wondering why she's not getting breat milk from there and getting it from the bottle instead

@leenie they apparently mimic the nipple so it might help. If not I haven't tried them, but apparently the Minbie is also really good. I think it's a bit expensive though. I already had the Avent bottles and just got the Pigeon wide neck teats because they fit perfectly 😊 it worked out pretty cheap for us.

@mamagunn.no.1 I'm thinking of trying a bottle that has a small nipple. She will take this one bottle, but she only wants just the tip. Weird. I've gotten her to eat about six ounces this way today.

@leenie I did reply to this but idk where the comment went. The Avent nipples and Tommee Tippee one's are a bit smaller. And that's awesome that you have her taking it, even if it's a bit differently it's still progress 😂

@mamagunn.no.1 tried again today. She wasn't having it. She threw a fit and nearly gouged out my eye. I'm such a pushover. I think maybe about waiting a bit longer and trying again when she's a bit older

@leenie oh no!.😣 I'm quite familiar with eye gouging lol maybe wait a few weeks and try again.. I just switched Rylan over to the Avent teats again because the ones I had here are size 2 flow and the Pigeon one's I had we alot slower and he was getting really fussy with them. He's had no problem with the sudden switch which is great. Maybe just wait a little and try to alternate between boob and bottle and see how you go. Sometimes they will take to one bottle and no others and it takes a bit to find the one they'll have. I hope you have some luck soon. These babies are little bosses 😂😂😂 they definitely run the show!

@mamagunn.no.1 my other two were so easy to switch when I needed to. This ones just a little turd! I've tried her on a few foods and she doesn't show any emotion when eating. She just opens her mouth for more. She doesn't get exited anything, I can't tell if she's liking it or not

@leenie oh really? That would definitely make it hard! She just sounds like she is a fussy baby lol I hope it gets better. My nephew is a bit like that! He's one and a half now and if finally starting to get excited by food. My sister never breast fed him though so he took to the bottle straight away. I think she had to try a few bottles though. Have ypu considered baby led weaning? Maybe a different approach to food might get her more excited by it?

I tried the minbie with my son when he wouldn’t take anything else and he’d take it a little bit. I found the teats flowed to quickly for it to really be helpful so if you do decide to try them I’d recommend going with the slower flow teats, they’re grouped by age so go down an age group. Good luck, it’s so frustrating when they just won’t take anything.

@mamagunn.no.1 I do a modified blw. We do the purees for about a month, to get the "feel" of food.

@mariapb she gets angry at the slow flow nipples. I have a very fast letdown. It literally takes her seven minutes to finish a feeding.

@leenie that's pretty much what I've done. Sort of a mix of blw. I hope you find a solution soon or she just outgrows the fussing! I guess persistence is key and about all you can do. Just try every week or so

My interview got moved to Tuesday because I wasn't driving two hours away for it.

Figure I would update:

She has finally started taking a bottle. The first day was super hard but I just cut her off, cold turkey. Still gave her breast milk. Slowly weaning onto formula which she doesn't seem to mind. She's actually sleeping better at night (yay!). My dh managed to give her a full bottle! She's only taking about three ounces every three hours. Not sure that that's enough.

Update on my interview: it went fantastic! The woman seemed very excited about me and said I would be meeting with the district manager for my second interview and wait for the call to schedule that. She called a few hours later and said that he will be in town to specifically meet me! (The corporate office is about two hours away) the position isn't anything spectacular, just KFC shift supervisor. I'm excited though!
