The exact same happened to me, I had to be induced at 38 weeks my daughter was 5 lbs 11oz and came out healthy and passed all her tests! We took her home the very next day. Prayers to you mama, you’ll do great!

Good luck mama my first one came @38 weeks but he was measuring 32 weeks. Completely understand

IUGR is one of the few reasons induction is necessary. Someone doesn’t know you have an IUGR baby if you don’t say it. Not that you should have to reveal your medical records, but you should be understanding that in *most* cases it’s better for baby to bake.

Hey as long as there’s an medical reason like in your case there is nothing wrong with that! Your doing what your DOCTOR said is best. Your not trying to self induce at 37 weeks because your uncomfortable.

@jellybeans33, yeah I don’t agree with just having a baby to be having one because of being uncomfortable, I’ve been that this whole time & god I wish I could do the natural thing but it’s too risky 😩.

@alyboo102293 DING DING DING , SAME SITUATION IM IN . These doctors wouldn’t do anything that they aren’t suppose to do. There doing there job to protect our baby’s. Your son is gonna be just fine love 😊

@tianadavis216, unfortunately not all doctors make the best decisions. Blind faith in doctors is dangerous. Myself and two of my children wouldn’t be here if I believed in certain doctors 😔

My friend had to have her daughter a few weeks early because her placenta stopped working. It’s necessary for them to take the baby out when that’s happening. It’s scary to think your child isn’t getting what they need from u inside. There’s nothing wrong with having your child a little early. In fact it would be wrong to keep them in!’ Good luck I hope everything works out well for u two

I don’t blame ya mamma! Happy you two are making it that far! I’m a little ticked off at my Doctors. I’m pretty sure I had IUGR as well because my little girl was only 3.12 at birth and my stomach stopped growing at 29 weeks. They just said it was because boyfriend and I are tiny... I know they don’t know exact weight due to ultrasounds but they also said she was 4.5 at 34 weeks and I had her at 36.6.. no where near 4.5 pounds. I was also really swollen, like my face was always swollen and my hands hurt at night because of it. I wish I would have went and gotten a second opinion.

@myriahboyett710, awe I remember seeing your post when you had baby & that’s exactly what I was thinking at 36 weeks at 3 pounds your baby was definitely IUGR and I was SO glad for you and your family everything was okay with her and she got here alright 🙏🏽. She is gorgeous, my first IUGR baby was born at 3.11 and I remember how tiny she was but such a fighter😏 she’s 5 and a half now still a little skinny mini.

@alyboo102293 yeah, I don't think she'll be big or tall. Boyfriend is 5'6 and I'm 5 foot. Thank you so much we are super grateful she didn't have any issues other than weight. Can't wait to see your little man!
