So is it normal for newborns to sound nasally and making gurgling sounds? I've never been around new babies so I have no clue. He does fine during the day, it's just at night.

Maybe it wasn’t an issue in the NICU. Don’t know how long he’s been home. It’s just a guess. Maybe try a cool mist humifier

Yes it’s normal because their nasal passages are so small

It could be reflux or a cold. If reflux, try to elevate him while sleeping and don’t sleep flat on back. A rock n play does this safely
