You can have a smile on the outside, but still be very unhappy and miserable on the inside. Everyone has a story deep inside that they cover up, it’s like a great mystery.

I often have a fake smile and I’m sure many other people do too. I can acknowledge it and admit it.

I smile so that my children won’t know my pain or experience my sadness. I smile because I don’t want anyone to know that I’m struggling.

Hopefully one day I can smile because I really mean it 😊
