MOMS..... I NEED HELP!!!
I just got a call saying my blood test I did at 18 weeks for spina bifida came back positive... I’m going for another ultra sound Friday for further information... the dr said it could be my placenta too or maybe the dating was wrong when they did the test so the ultrasound will say for sure how far along I am.... has anyone had experience with this?? I’m breaking inside thinking of awful outcomes of course.. what can I do to prepare for this next ultra sound?

Also, my specialist said that spins bifida is something that is caught pretty early on, so if your ultrasounds have been normal hopefully it’s a false positive as well. Praying that’s the case for you..
Yes, this totally happened to me. Don’t panic until the ultrasound confirms it. In my case it was a false positive. Ultrasound confirmed her spine was perfectly fine. I don’t remember the reason for the false positive.
Thank you so much @kalixta, I haven’t had an ultrasound since i found out I was pregnant at 6 weeks. This will be my first which was scheduled for November 2nd but now they pushed it to Friday because of this test coming back positive. I hope he’s okay... I just can’t imagine him going through anything rough.
