If cleared by your Dr., can you fly at any point in pregnancy?

I asked my OB about flight they said its fine, unless you have special risks, until the 3rd trimester then its a no go

My doc says you can fly up until 36 weeks unless you are high risk, then you should discuss it with doc

@mhbb3, mine said because of the effects of the speed of the plane on the baby, blood clots, dehydration and most importantly the pressure can put you in labor in mid air, also some companies wont let you fly past a certain number of weeks without a note from your OB

The airlines generally dont want pregnant women past 35 weeks or so. I flew at 34 weeks and turned 35 weeks on the way back, i carried a letter from my ob clearing me.

I’m flying at 28 and 29 weeks. Going to be a pain since I’ll be pregnant and flying solo with my 1yo&4yo 😪

I’m high risk our OBGYN said no flying or travel after 24 weeks 😞 So we won’t see my parents till they arrive a couple days prior to deliver in April.

@beakymcspence We would like to go see his family in Arizona and finish off his vacation time at his old job. I guess we will ask ob next week. Stinks when family lives far away.

@beakymcspence Hope so. Sorry you cant go see your family. Does even a single previous PROM automatically make you high risk even if current pregnancy is totally healthy?
