I’ve actually had a lot of people recommend a rock n play, including my midwife, because they can help with colic and reflux

I had a rock n play for my oldest which he slept in just fine. Since then I've heard things abt them being unsafe for infants to actually sleep in. Basically their chin could be pushed into their chest causing their oxygen flow to be limited. A girl I watch on YouTube actually had one of her twins pass away from that exact thing. I cosleep with my daughter so I'm not sure abt a bassinet. We have one for her, but it just holds her clothes lol.

We got a handmade side-car from a shop on Etsy and he’s even matched it to our bed. Should arrive after Christmas. He’s quite talented and made our previous children’s free standing cribs. He’s located in Tennessee!

My daughter slept in a rock n play until nearly a year (25 week preemie, she was well within the weight limit). Her NICU nurse recommended it because of her reflux. However she was on oxygen and apnea monitors so I felt totally safe.

We have a bassinet by our bed. My friend said transitioning her son from a rock and play to a crib was torture since he was used to the incline.

Last time I used a rock and play then co slept starting at 2 months BUT I was paranoid she would fall out. This time we got this as well as a cosleeper for in the bed basically is like a ventilated little basket for them.

My friend did the same thing with the rock n play because it was easier for her at the time but now she is trying to transition him to his crib and having an awful time doing so because he’s so used to the rock n play. He now hates being on a flat surface and fights it. I’ll be using my bassinet or pack and play to hopefully avoid having a hard transition into the crib later on.

I used a rock n play with my first up until he was about 5-6 months. I loved it, I didn’t have a lot of space to work with back then so it worked for us. Now that I have more room I bought a bassinet to have beside my bed and I’ll use the rock n play downstairs to have him in during the day

Rock n plays are only for while you're awake! I wouldn't ever let your child sleep in one through the night. Absolutely need to be flat - slightly being pushed up can cut off their airway! It's super scary...I wouldn't want anything happening to your baby just get a bassinet girl!

I did the rock n play for my last baby and we actually had no problems out of it. My baby was comfortable and he slept just fine. This time around we chose a mini crib and the rock n play will be for when I need to put her down to get some things done.
