How dilated do you have to be for them to keep you?

I was dilated 4cm at 39 weeks just at check up they don't go by cm unless its in conjunction with contractions that occur at a constant or increasing rate. Then they have to see a certain amount of progression to keep you

Where I delivered they wouldn’t admit me til I was 6 cm they sent me home when I was at 5 1/2 🤦🏻‍♀️

It’s not about dilation as much as it’s about the contractions. If they are 3-5 minutes apart and last up to 45-60 seconds I’d go in.

If it’s your second child they’ll most likely admit you as soon as you start getting contractions near 5-7 minutes apart.

But like the other ladies said.. it’s more about contractions and progression! I wasn’t progressing fast enough they said so that’s why they sent me home

Yeah it has to do with the contractions. I was stuck at a 4 for 4 long days ... They left me only because of my babys heart rate dropping

Its not how dilated you are. Its whether or not youre leaking amniotic fluid or having contractions every 5 minutes that last longer than a minute.
