Anyone else plan their own baby shower? My mom and MIL stress me out really quick when they help with anything so I decided I was going to handle hosting my baby shower, but a lot of people seem to think that’s weird. I have no regrets about it so far and I have been completely stress free doing everything with just my husbands help.

My mom did my shower this time, but for my son i planned the hole thing nothing wrong with it i dont think at least
Do your own I did mine with the help of my momma it’s so much more relaxing knowing it’s going to be just like you want it to be.
I planned my own & im so happy I did. It was less stress & came out great .
I compromised. I organized and planned everything. I put on the invites that MIL was hosting, had it at her house and let her run the games. But I actually did all the work ahead of time because when I told her how many people were coming (like 30 were her friends she wanted invited) she panicked so I did a Google doc and shared it with her with a couple things for her to do. It worked out great. Hubby and I had a blast. :)
I wish I had done that. My MIL ruined my baby shower which caused the most family drama and the biggest fight my husband and I have ever had.
Not weird at all. I was going to do my own by my sister and cousin really wanted to so I was like ok fine. I’m a control freak so it was stressful not having any clue what was going on. But they did a really good job.
I pretty much planned my whole shower and had my mom and sister as the host. They helped some but I pretty much planned and said what I wanted and they did it.
