Yep ive heard that saying as well. Probably old wives tales.
I’ve always had my babies within days of my belly dropping. Your belly essentially drops when baby drops head into the birth canal.

Everyone uses that old wives tale .. but it doesn't ring true for some. Lol
Just bc baby moved down .. doesn't mean labour is soon.
@mamachey with my son last year was suppose to be induce at 37 weeks but he was born on 36 weeks and 6 days
For me it hasnt been i drop around 36 weeks somewhat at least and generally give birth on the due date , day before, or day after with the exception of one that i gave birth to at 36 wks
My belly dropped last weekend no baby yet but it usually is a sign that its closet
