Definitely tried asking the doctor about this but I’m wondering if anyone else experienced it(?)
Sometimes when I’m sitting, laying down or if my baby moves into a weird position, it feels like pressure builds up in my chest, like I’m suffocating, breathing gets harder and my pulse becomes faint.
Truly like someone has grabbed my throat and is pushing down on my air way.
Doctor said sometimes we can forget to breath and to take a deep breath and to change position but changing position doesn’t seem to help and continues even when I breath deep to expand my lungs... I often have to wait the 2-3 minutes it lasts for it to go away.
Anybody else go through this and figure it out?

Not sure if this is the same as yours but..when I feel a contraction building I'll feel my blood pressure go up like it shoots up my head (kinda like the feeling I'm hanging up side down when blood rushes to your head) my heart will slow down and feel hot a little and my chest feels a little tight...this has been happening for about 3m but recently have got worse since shes due anytime

With my first in some positions it was hard to breathe like something was putting pressure on my chest.

@blessed2018w9, feels like hanging upside down. Exactly.... is that a contraction and I just don’t realize it(?) 🤔

@mrs.bautista, right? Exactly!. I just wish the doctor could be clear if it was a contraction or the baby just pushing up on my lungs. Definitely scary when it happens.

@tatsandcats, exactly. I just don’t understand what’s happening and unless I move it doesn’t go away but slowly.

@kmsespy yup its definitely a contraction (Braxton hicks)

@blessed2018w9, thanks love! Honestly, I was completely baffled and wondering if I’d ever have a contraction when I have probably been experiencing them this whole time and thinking it was something so much worse.

@kmsespy nope your good hun its your body at work 😉

@mrs.bautista, I have a male doctor and I’m pretty sure I just couldn’t explain it well enough.
I’ll bring it up again and see if he can confirm these feelings as contractions. Let me know what your doc says too though because I’m almost positive a women doctor would know better than a male.
I’m really glad I asked everyone on here though, I definitely don’t feel alone anymore. ♥️
