Help! I need y’alls advise on how to take care of a circumcision and if any of you had to wait to do so. After the birth of my boy, we had to wait to get him circumcised because of the way his sack was up half way up his scrotum. We took him to a specialist after and they said we’d have to wait till he’s 4 months. Well he’s four months now and his appointment is the 25th of this month. As it gets closer I get more paranoid about it hurting him. And if you have anything negative to say about the choice, keep it your self..

It’s gonna hurt him of course but mainly when he pee’s poop I’m not to sure but maybe my son got his the day after he was born cleaning it just make sure you clean it the way they tell you they will explain it to you and clean it as often as you can and for a bit he will cry but that’s when he pees it’s normal

@mahaylavanzile .I have 3 son's it healed all within 1 wk..always use Vaseline with gauze on the tip of the penis.after the procedure...really helps so it doesn't get stuck to diaper ..

Circumcision is a touchy subject with parents just because it really is a personal choice either coming from the parents or given to the baby to decide later.
There are reasons to consider both heavily before just deciding.
This link is of someone who has thought of and done the research behind the pros and cons of child vrs adult circumcision.
It does hurt. It isn’t medically necessary. So you do have to choose to set aside your willingness to put your baby through that pain. 🤷🏻♀️

@mahaylavanzile, he was a new born didn’t give him anything he mainly slept didn’t last long to heal I say a week the most but since yours is 4 months I bet you can give him Tylenol the infant kind it will be okay don’t worry you have nothing to worry about

I know that it hurts and it just another appointment to see if they think it’s a good idea. If not then we may wait till he gets older.. but thank you for the link. I’ve done the research my self.

@mahaylavanzile ..i have seen it done in front of me many times at Jewish circumcision s..the babies cry for a moment.they put something on it to numb it and usually give the baby a pacifier with something sweet on it..Yrs ago my mom babysat a toddler who had several uti s.his parent's had him get one at about 2 and a half..he healed also in about a week and half..the body heals itself ;) your baby will be just fine ask all the questions and concerns
