Kinda desperate here guys...
my son is 5 months old. He has no medical problems he’s perfectly healthy, he’s just a little big. His weight is in the 70th percentile... but I’ve been buying literally 18 month clothing and NOTHING fits.. and if it does, it fits for like a week. Seems like a common problem but it’s really frustrating since I live in Alaska, winters coming up and he NEEDS warm clothes. I don’t know what to do. Any suggestions?
My dd was in the 99th percentile when she was an infant, I had to buy different brands in varying sizes. Carters I usually found to be one the smaller size, but then once in a while, some of their clothes were baggy. It's hit or miss. Target is one of my favorite places for her, their shirts are usually loose and you could try a size larger in the pants and just roll them up if they're too long. I don't know about the boys section, but the girls section has jeggings right now that look just like a pair of jeans. If you don't mind him wearing girl pants, maybe the extra stretch will help accommodate his extra chunk 😂
@lizsouthwick, yeah I’m thinking that’s the route of gonna take. I think I might have to buy everything in 2 pieces like a shirt and pants instead of onesies 😭
@laniejay, and yeah it’s odd, that’s why I’m asking for clothes suggestions.
My sons weight is in the 90% & height in just the 50%.. so he’s a little short & chunky. I understand what you mean about the width of legs.. I found that jogger sweats fit best because they are baggy at the thighs.
@laniejay, the shoulders are too small, especially on onesies and the width of the legs is too tight /:
@flamingomom, thanks hun I appreciate it. I’m not sure what it is... me and his dad are both semi short people so it can’t be that he’s long. I’ve tried all different brands and nothing fits
@carmek, yeah I’ve been rolling up the pants for awhile that works!! Lol thanks so much I’ll try that, I don’t mind him wearing girl pants at all... I mean what makes them girl pants anyways? There in the girls section and that’s all? Lol. I’ll have to go look at those!
