This might be weird but has anyone ever given their toddler the extra BM y’all might have pumped? My baby girl is barley 11 days old and because of her jaundice levels she wasn’t able to nurse right away and she didn’t really want too. So I already have a stash in fridge of BM... plus what was pumped st hospital. Every feeding I nurse her then pump enough for a 5oz bag. Any advice mamás?

@laniejay, I wish I didn’t have to pump.. but she’s barley learning to latch which is amazing! But even after she nurses I still have to pump out if not I’ll be ready to burst through my shirt within 30 mins.. 😳

Careful pumping so much so early... but yes I did give it to my toddler. I’d make smoothies with it too. But typically only when someone was sick in the house or I felt he was coming down with something. I didn’t produce too much extra though.

Definitely can! It’ll be beneficial to your toddler as well!
Some women cook with their milk if they run out of cows lol
