Took the bookcase out of our living room and put our son’s changing table (that we’ve used a total of 3 times ever 🤣) in…

Man I haven’t started on a thing. I wish I had your energy! Love the idea of changing the bookcase into a diaper changing station. Everyone told me I wouldn’t need a diaper station with my first so I used a dresser. This time around I’m hoping we will get one! 😊

@buntaine, we honestly never used this with my first but I used it for the first time today and I’m kicking myself for not having ever used it. It’s been hard on my getting up and down off the floor already and this made it SO much easier. We’ll have to saw off one end because my son is huge 🤣, but I think we’ll like it that way.

As for the energy, this is really the first time my whole pregnancy I’ve really had any energy at all. I was anemic from early on and didn’t get told or start taking iron supplements until about 12 weeks along. I was so exhausted I could hardly move. Like my body felt like it was being weighed down by a ton of bricks. It was an awful feeling. It’s taken until the last week or so to really have any energy again and I’m taking full advantage of feeling good again. I know I’m going to get tired again once 3rd Tri hits, so I’m doing the big stuff now.

Idk why but I feel like your pregnancy is going by so fast like I feel like you just posted you are 6 weeks and now your already going on 18 that’s crazy I can’t wait to find out what I’m having we also are not going to give this baby nursery until it’s a year old because we did that with the first and we barely started sleeping him in his room a few months ago

@jahniesha, girrrrllll SAME! It’s flying by! I can’t even believe how fast it’s going! My pregnancy with Levi was soooooo slow but this one I feel like I’m barely able to enjoy it because it’s going so fast! 🤣 Must be the toddler that keeps me so busy!

Honestly that’s what we did too. Our babies stay in our room in a bassinet or PNP until their first birthday. We’re not ready to convert our spare bedroom (guest room) into a nursery because my family is all from out of town. So we’ve decided to wait. I’m hoping by his 1st birthday we’ll be close to ready to move into a bigger house, but we’ll see.

@mom2squared, yeah that true we were thinking about moving but decided to wait until 2020 that way we can have a little extra money saved up

@jahniesha, same with us. It’ll be 2020 or 2021 depending on which direction the business goes in. I think we’re hoping to move back to the city we moved out of two years ago. Just a much better cost of living. We could get the same house there as we would in NWA but less expensive, which means more wiggle room for comfort and play.

Damn. Ten years ago I wasn’t even married and was getting wasted every night. Now I’m preparing for baby number two, have bought two houses, and talking about cost of living and equity for our third. Who even am I?! 😱😂😂😂😂 Do those things ever just hit you? I’m about to turn 31 next month and I’m just adulting the shit out of my life. And ten years ago I didn’t even have my shit together. 😂😂😂😂

I was the same way. Started doing stuff right away. I’m grateful because I get tired easier now. Our second isn’t going to have their own room for awhile either.

@mrs.hibben, this is what I figured too! I’d be tired the last month or two! Honestly, I’m a tad sad I won’t get to do the nursery thing with this baby. I didn’t get to do it with my first either until he was 7mos old. My husband and his family had started a business about two months before our son was born, and we were living with his parents so he could take an unlivable wage to get the business profitable ASAP. So, we were living with my inlaws (who are amazing) when my son was born. We found a house in the spring and began building. Just a small cookie cutter house that we only planned to live in for a few years. My son was 7 mos old when we moved in and I finally got to create a nursery for him. He still didn’t sleep in it for another 5 months but we started naps in there. So, it just kind of sucks that I don’t get to do that again. It’s stupid, I know. But when I see everyone else decorating their nurseries, it just makes me a tad sad. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I want our kids to share a room for awhile so they can have a playroom with all their toys. So for the first how ever many months the new baby will be in our room. I still have room for a kinda nursery.

@mrs.hibben, see and if our kids were going to share a room, then I could do a half and half theme type situation. But that is NOT an option. 🤣 I told my husband that. They can share a room when they’re old enough to tell me they want to, and know that if they keep each other up, it’s not going to be good for either of them. I’ve heard too many horror stories of toddlers sharing rooms together and keeping each other up at night. This mama values sleep WAY too much for those kinds of shenanigans. 🤣🤣🤣 So, a year and a half from now we’ll either be in a bigger house, or we won’t have a guest room. 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️
