It’s called a Linea Nigra and it’s unknown why women get it during pregnancy, but they assume it’s due to a change in hormones. Not everyone gets it. I’m on my 4th and never had it.

I had it with my first didn't get it until a week after I had my second and this pregnancy I have yet to get it.
