Someone just posted that they left their 3 week old on the couch and baby rolled over and fell off…

She posted a picture twenty minutes ago acting like nothing happened. Hopefully he’s fine and she learns from this

How scary to think a newborn fell on a hard surface or anywhere soo small and fragile#1 HOPE she takes the baby to the ER ASAP! Put her pride aside and yes we shouldn't shame her...maybe she's beyond tired as we know newborns take every ounce of energy in us..but,as a parent we are to put our children's safety 1st!

How can she take a pic or bring him to the ER when she isn’t even with him tonight...

@laniejay maybe like someone posted she brought the baby to her mom's..hope she tell s the mom her baby fell ! HOPE her mom has common sense to take the baby to get checked out asap !How can anyone sleep away from their newborn in my life I have never seen that

@sherrynygirl, unfortunately I’ve seen it many times. Why have a kid if you’re already pawning them off on people 2-3 weeks later?!? I bet she didn’t tell mom

@laniejay makes me sad and upset..i never left any of my children even being 16 and having my own place and my parent's moved states away..i really hope this mom gets the baby help and herself don't know what she's going thru but,,her babies well being is more important than how it could effect her #1...

This happen when my mom was watching my 1st baby, I freaked out and freaked out on her.... like omg I was so scared! I did take him to the E.R luckily he was perfectly fine... Thank the Lord. It doesnt mean you are a bad mom, sometimes there are situations where you may THINK you got time to run and do something while baby is laying quietly sleeping, or maybe baby has never rolled over yet. BUT even then its not safe bc babys move, wiggle, shake their little bodies all over and they can slip right off...

It does seem judgmental reading these posts. I never left my baby. He had a pack and play to nap in, two in my house, two swings, two of almost everything bc you never know when you need to lay baby down and go do something. I’m a single mom so this took a lot of planning and requesting specific gifts for my baby. It doesn’t take but a second for something to happen. My son flipped out of his crib while I was standing in my doorway arguing with my mom. He was fine. He wasn’t a newborn but he wasn’t one years old either... things may happen but we all know we didn’t have a book with every situation laid out for us. We winged it sometimes. And sometimes we still do. I just pray the baby is okay. That’s what the post was about right?

This is aside from the point of what y'all are talking about, but I'm curious, how could a 3 week old roll off the couch? I thought babes couldn't roll for like at least 6 weeks.

I wouldn't do it, but I could see someone leaving their bubs for a minute if they thought they couldn't roll yet, right
