Do you think the er would do much for this cough i have? Its been 2 weeks. Its getting worse. My chest is heavy. Shortness of breath, my head/ears feels clogged, and now im having a bad bad pain in my back under my left shoulder and right rib cage. I cant cough anything up, ive been taking mucinex, robitussin, and drinking pineapple juice which is supposed to be more effective than cough syrup. Ive also been using an inhaler.and I dont have insurance or a dr. So I cant pay all that out of pocket up front for urgent care.

Honestly? No. I would think its cheaper to pay out of pocket for a doctor visit. They could rx you something better maybe

I personally wouldn't go to an ER for that because I'm not sure there's much they can do besides maybe an x ray to check for pneumonia. But even without the x ray it'll be $1000+. A doctor's visit or urgent care is going to be way cheaper.

I have the same. There's a bad upper respiratory infection going around and there's not much they can do, steroids didn't even help me.
