Ok ladies which chart do you go by? My on call OB told me I wasn't 4 months pregnant at 16.5 weeks and I am so lost. My book says I am 5 months now at 19 weeks but other charts say I am not. Which chart do you go by?🤔

Neither. Calendar day for lmp (December 28th) but I also tracked ovulation so I know I ovulated 2 weeks after I passed the last mass of retained products from our loss last year. I delivered September 28th at exactly 9 months after the mass passed. Which was also 39+1.

My OB had us use the NEWEST version that ACOG has switched to which is your first chart.
However, some OBs will stick to old school, despite the changes that are there for a reason, and so they will go by the 2nd chart still.
If your OB uses a certain one follow that to avoid confusion. If they don't say what one they use then just pick one, it really doesn't matter in the end.

As far as I can tell, these two charts are read differently. The first chart should read in the 5th month at 19 weeks so therefore 4 months pregnant (just like when you are in your first year of life, you aren’t a year old until it is finished). The second chart actually means when you are 19 weeks pregnant you are 4 months pregnant

I go by the first one and so does my ob

You are four months pregnant. You are in your 5th month of pregnancy but you aren’t 5 months yet.
