Anyone else's midwife crap? Just been to my 36 weeks appointment and she never checked baby's heart…

I never knew how big and how heavy is my baby so at the end I needed a emergency c section 😁🤦🏽‍♀️ so not only your midwife is crap mine was also😂😂

@kikar his EFW is 5lb 10oz when I was 35weeks and 4 days. My boyfriend's mam is gonna do my birth plan with me tonight just in case I get set off early but the midwife was more bothered about me having the flu jab x

@sarahlou.b50 if u av to be induced then no point doin a birth plan bc ull be monitored. U cant av water birth or nout like that. All u need to think about it pain relief. Iburofen 1st, and then gas an air, then pethadine (which is like morephine) an then epidural xx

Yeah mine doesn't listen to heart beat or feel my tummy do measurements etc, I see her on Thursday if she doesn't do it again I'm guna say summit lol my other pregnancies midwife listened to heart beat and felt my tummy at every midwife appointment so don't know why this one is different x

@kikar how big was ur baby can i ask? Bc im over the 90th centile line an my new mw wont scan me even tho i had a 3c (nearly 4th) degree tear with my 7lb 10oz baby. An this one is already measurin 6lb6oz at 34 and half weeks 🙈 ( goin off my bump) but im literally ALL bump..iv put 12kg on but i cant see where other than my bump and boobs n lil on my bum lol.x

@mummyof3.soontobe4 see they usually do his heart beat cause he's awkward and moves about but she never bothered just left like a waist of time going x

@sarahlou.b50 normally its done at 36wks. Im avin a home birth (fingers crossed) an i avent done mine. Jus think about what ud like, it doesnt always go to plan..i wanted a water birth with my 1st. I loved the bath at home but when i got to hosp i hated it made me worse so i ended up tryin every other method until i found the birthing stool. U literally cant plan it at all. U cud say u want epirdural bc ur no good with pain but then birth pain is different an u may need nothing at all. U cud say u wanna breast feed straight away, i did but i cudnt bc i tore so had to go down an be stitched up. Honestly jus think about pain relief everythin else will fall into place x

@dannie.louise.x, he was born 4,7kg 🙊 and 58cm @41w1d 🙊I put on almost 20kg 😁 but looks like a lot of them was waters because I lost 19kg now😁 maybe try asking again, because from my experience it looks like they don’t do anything until u don’t say or ask. They didn’t check my iron level..only did when I told them that I’m not feeling well and almost passed out on table 💁🏽‍♀️😁 and after birth on next day the doctor came to me and said “NEXT TIME we will know that we need to check your sugar level” WHAT NEXT TIME? No next time😂😂😂😂😂

Reason why I had c section was because my baby was with back to my back and he refused to turn his head even when they tried to turn it. ( but when they told me how big and heavy he is , I was happy that I didn’t push him out😳😂)

@kikar if i go to 40wk im lookin at 4kg baby. If i go over obvs will be about 4.5kg (not got my notes here) im so scared. I was gona pay £55 private scan at 38wk to check weight of baby. Bc my old mw sed if i feel like baba is too big we can opt to av section this time.x

@dannie.louise.x, u never know maybe baby decides to come little bit earlier 💁🏽‍♀️ u can also try to ask them to measure baby on the day of delivery. On my notes it says ( The duration of my first stage of birth was: 16h34m , duration of my second stage of birth: 4h and on third: 2m ) 😂 so if they knew how baby is laying and how big it is from the start, they would done c section and not let me be in pain for almost 24h 🙊

@kikar ouch!! Im so scared as ino this baby will be big. If i go over im optin for a secion 🙈 i wow push 9lb+ baby out lol.xx

At my last app she told me to go on NHS choices birthing plan and fill it in, she wants it ready for my 36week app. X

@nikki90xx see mines not said a thing about it so my boyfriend's mam is gonna do it with me I know it doesn't always go to plan. I'll just have to see what happens next Thursday xx

All midwifes are crap one way or another. Mine always listens to heartbeat but never measures bump. I've only seen my midwife at booking appt. 16wk. 24wk and today 28wk. She's booked me again at 34wk to do birth plan. I've got to be induced also

@miss_bubbles see I got told if you go for growth scans you don't get measured and I've only had one midwife that was good my first one I felt like punching her cause my boyfriend asked if 20 week scan was when you found out what you were having and she bit his head off xx

@sarahlou.b50 That's not nice! Mine isn't too bad. With my last pregnancy I had growth scans and still got measured. Growth scans are every 3wks so id of thought the midwife would check inbetween just in case x
