I developed under active thyroid after I had my girl... I love to find out if u get early scan when u have thyroid for future

@sara87 I suffer with underactive thyroid have done for a year and only been stable in last 3 month's, so I really want an early scan but don't wanna have to pay really when I got a wedding to pay for 💔 otherwise I would or even if it was like £50 I would xx

Why son’t you try early maternity unit?! Say you have pains and stuff they have to take a loook...

@sara87 I have a phone call appointment booked in with him next Thursday to talk about my thyroid so going to ask then but wanted to see how likely it is plus if someone says they have done before I can say that to him haha 😂😂 x

Just to say not all hospitals will see you. I've had 2 miscarriages and a Mmc. The first miscarriage I had horrendous pain was even bleeding and they wouldn't see me. By the time they did it was too late. And the only reason I got booked into early care was because I called the out of hours gp. I had to see him in a&e an he booked it then but I still had to wait 2 days.

2nd time was told they do nothing when your so early pregnant.

3rd time I got a scan based on 2 mc. All was fine but at my 12wk scan babys heart had stopped.

I think it's wrong of women to lie about having pain when they don't because your technically taking a slot that could be given to someone who is actually in pain.

Just wait or look around there are plenty of places which offer scans cheaper than £100

@bluebluesky, absolutely disgusting I’m surprised as someone who has gone through a miscarriage you are condoning someone going in for an early scan through a lie about bleeding and pain’ I have been through one my self and didn’t get offered an early scan this time around so I paid the 100 I would never lie about my baby I find it hard to believe people are willing to do this . God forbid if you did lie and your baby wasn’t ok that would be on your shoulders .

@miss_bubbles, o feel for you sounds a lot like my first was an awful experience and makes me cry at the thought of someone lying about it to get a free scan it’s vile xx

@ellie123, so if I don’t go into detail that something was wrong it wasn’t, I’m just saying even if you concerned of something it doesn’t mean you have to sit at home and wait for something more happening. All I say they have to check you and do scan!

Even if pains are not big even if it feels like okay... And actually, I’ve been told if anything you feel unwell its fine to go and check not all pains go strong not all symptoms you will notice! So don’t try to make drama here, please!

@ellie123 couldn't agree more! It's disgusting if people are that desperate to check all is ok they would just pay!

This is my 6th pregnancy but will be 2nd child. My first was premature at 26wk and i still didn't get extra scans. I only get extra scans now due to preterm and so many mc.

There's even a separate letter with my scan letters stating how demands of scans are 50% higher than what they've ever been x

@bluebluesky she's already stated anxious. Hasn't said she's in pain. So yes you are totally in the wrong to advise her to lie about being in pain. Also most nhs won't do anything so early on as there is nothing they can do.

You on the other hand being advised about calling if any pain etc is totally different your half way. Things can be done

I personally wouldn't do that! I just wanted to see if anyone else who suffered with underactive thyroid got any early scans! As I am anxious about baby aswell as if my thyroid is affecting baby or not x

@bluebluesky, she’s not in any pain so all is goood every one is anxious not one person I have spoke to that’s pregnant isn’t anxious imagine if we all rang saying we had pains and bleeding when we didn’t be a bit like the boy that cried wolf down the EPU unfortunately like I say everyone is anxious and you either wait till your 12 week or go private and if you’re lucky enough to be offered an early scan with out lying then that’s really good and of course take that . It did come across very wrong but if you didn’t mean it like that then that’s ok

@ellie123, no I didn’t mean in any bad intention at all😞 I know it is a hard path been there done that, and I had bad things in the beginning. Catched early on and treated.. So I misunderstood a little bit and I agree it was wrong to advice something at all. Very sorry for all this.
