How do I get my dog to poop outside. This is getting ridiculous. He will pee outside but not poop

When he pees or poop inside you put their face really close to it and tell them no and hit them in their nose and then take them outside you need to be very persistent with it that's how ours learn

Have you thought about crate training to aid in potty training?

@readyforhalloween hes almost 2. I've had him since he was 4 weeks then had to get rid of him due to situations then got him back after 10 months

Really usually crate training works because dogs usually HATE laying in their own poop.

Does he have any signs?

Like walking in circles and sniffing?

Usually they'll pick a certain spot to poop in a yard.

@nerdymommyplus2 yes he will go in circles but not poop. He once held it for 2 days until he almost pooped himself and I ran outside with him. He went I praised him gave him a treat. He will go outside ONLY if I take him to the dog park or the hiking trail but not in the yard. I stopped taking him to the park cuz he got tape worms last time

@nerdymommyplus2 I can't throw him in the car everytime or all hours of the night just go down the road for him to poop. I have kids that doesnt work lol

Did you recheck to make sure the worms were completely gone after treatment?

Did you have any dogs before him? Maybe he's sniffing another dog there 🤔

@nerdymommyplus2 just him and yes they are gone. Oh u know what. My dude did have another dog here before him. A bully XL
