Those who use public transport are not the only people who fall victim to human trafficking 🤨

Lol it happens while people are just walking the streets! I’m not sure I’d even associate public transportation with human trafficking lol 🤷🏻‍♀️

@masseymomma16, It’s really not associated with public transport in any literature I’ve seen. Yes there are more vulnerable demographics, but using it as an excuse as to why you can’t go on outings with your child(ren) or do activities is completely off base. Many people who hold a drivers license fall victim to human trafficking it’s irrelevant 🤷🏻‍♀️

Public transportation in my opinion really isnt the safest anymore. I avoid taking it. My daughter was exposed to a violent attack right on the c train when I took her on the train just last month and we were only going 2 stops away from our house. Times have changed 😞.

@tyrellp, That’s unfortunate but there are several forms of PT, and incidents do happen everywhere not just trains busses etc. The point is public transportation isn’t related to human trafficking, nor is it an excuse to not leave your home and partake in normal activities with your children. There are many ways to access safe public transportation even car pools so that people can access programs and activities in the community. This post was more related to some irrational fears. There’s danger everywhere these days not like when we were kids but it doesn’t have to mean you can’t live a normal life. My sister has 3 kids and has never driven but is a member of a local carpool and it’s quite safe and convenient the members go through a lengthy screening process! I think it’s quite an amazing little program in BC.

I don’t understand people’s logic with that. It can happen ANYWHERE! Shit, someone tried to grab my niece right out of the cart while her momma and I were standing RIGHT THERE talking to her! Then tried to claim they thought it was their child in the buggy. 🤨🤨🤨 I damn near lost my mind that day.

Also agreed that public transportation is crazy but I don’t think that’s totally new. When I was 10 I was on the subway in Boston and it was right after a Red Sox vs Yankee’s game and I came out of that with a black eye. People were fighting like crazy. I didn’t even care about baseball then, we were just on vacation. 😂

@haleypsutton, Your so right it can happen anywhere! The hospital I work at is not in the best area of town, and we had a lot of issues with unsavories in the parking lot when we’d leave at night. We now have security guards who walk us to our cars (I park underground but some don’t like to pay for the pass)

Agreed shit happens everywhere... I was talking about how in my opinion transit isnt the safest...isnt that your post is about? Human trafficking and transit? Am i missing something? Was there a post about this topic?

I don't get the logic of who would think public transit is the cause of human trafficking tragedies? Strange, cuz it could happen anywhere or anytime. 🤷🏽‍♀️

@sashalicious, Thank you babe lol ❤️ It’s true and people who have drivers licenses are also victims of human trafficking. There are certain demographics they say are more vulnerable to human trafficking but none of it is linked to public transit. There is safe forms of PT.

@beakymcspence, oh yes the hospital I used to work at had to do that too! It’s also not in a great part of town. I’d been followed to my car several times as I got off around 2 AM. Finally started calling security to give me a ride to my car.

This happened to me in WALMART last month, if I haven’t have heard the stories about “god the mother” I would have been a victim I’m clearly pregnant but they absolutely do not care about I was shaken up for hours and will not leave my husbands side out in public anymore but it definitely won’t stop me from doing day to day things, this world is so corrupt it’s sad
