@laniejay, it just sucks to see how supportive your partner family is for him and then you look at yours and it’s not 😢😢😢

Well even more so of a day people go away then. I have a hugely supportive family (sometimes overly so), but my husband’s family sucks. So I watch him go through it and I feel awful.

@laniejay, yea I was gonna go with my family outta town that’s like 1 hr their traveling though but I said I gotta come back that day cause his family doing the shower the next day and they were like oh no I’m gonna stay the weekend but I’ll buy something which is a lie 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️

@meka2013 I know how you feel. My gender reveal my godmom came and then left early, later throwing a fit that I didn't pay enough attention to her and announce her as the gma. So then none of the family came to my baby shower for him and so it was just my husband's HUGE supportive family, our mutual friends, and us. It worked out we had a good time but I was still hurt and struggled for months of the pregnancy with the fact that I don't have a supportive family side for my son like my husband does.

Maybe try planning a small family gathering with better timing?

Can you have a second shower for your side? You can’t blame them for going away thanksgiving week. :) might be the best of both worlds.

I feel you. My husbands family is so supportive and tight knit and I haven’t seen mine in years, the only people I’ve seen or spoken to on my side of the family is my mom and brother, and a few emails to my dad. That’s it.
