My doctor says she might want to induce my labor in 3 weeks because my baby is small , she’s 2 ounces away from being 3 pounds ‼️ I don’t want her coming early , I don’t want you giving me shots to make her lungs develop, if anything she needs to stay inside me to keep growing. I know that I was bound to have a small baby because I only weighed 4 pounds when I was born , but your not bout to induce me at 34 weeks PERIOD

Try drinking Ensure when I was underweight and my daughter wasn't gaining he put me on it she was 6lbs 7oz

Sometimes, not always induction is best bc the placenta is not doing its job. That's not always the case though. My dr insisted on inducing me and ds3 weighed more than they thought. Id ask if there is something else you can try first.

Hey momma 👋🏼 hang in there , just found out today that my baby boy is in the 4th% & he only weighs 3pounds 12 ounces at 34 weeks my fluid is also boarder line low my doctors are trying to push off delivery until 38 weeks. When is your next growth scan ?

@alyboo102293, aww he’s gonna be good & healthy he’s close too 4 pounds. My next growth scan is in 3 weeks & she’s saying if she doesn’t get any bigger she wants to induce me but I’m really not having that unless it’s a life or death situation for my baby

@tianadavis216 they did it cause I wasn't gaining an her growth stopped so they had me do it when I was 34 cause he was trying to make it where I don't have to deliver way early

@tianadavis216, well since he’s in the 4th he isn’t growing much more so basically as soon as he hits 0% we will be having him & he’ll be in the NICU hopefully for your baby though she can stay in there at least until 34 weeks when the lungs are pretty well developed I had a 34weeker and she didn’t need assistance , so praying your girl can sit tight a little longer

@alyboo102293, praying for you 🙏🏾 I’m just so scared , worried , & emotional she’s my first baby & I don’t want anything happening to her . I also want her to come after my baby shower, I’ll be 35 weeks & 2 days. Did you have her naturally? And was she able to come home with you

Unfortunately there are instances where baby is better on the outside than in. If you would feel more comfortable with a second opinion, by all means- do so. Just know that in cases of IUGR, in is not always better.
