Don’t burn your bridges ... call out and be professional about it. Morally it’s the right thing to do. And you don’t want to be labeled as not able to be rehired should you need to return to the workforce.

Most of us have probably done it but, probably not the best way to quit a job. It took me six months to find this job bc I couldn't use previous employers as a refrence bc of how i quit.

Definitely not the best way to do things but I’ve 100% done this at two different jobs and I still have no regrets. The first job I hated and I was suicidal because of it so I just quit, I couldn’t take one more day. The second job was this last one and the doctor I worked for was making advances on me and when I made it clear I was married and not interested I started getting in trouble over every tiny little thing, called into his office constantly, he was talking crap about me to the other ladies in the office and they ended up being awful toward me. Sometimes it’s best to just drop off. I get it. Not the best for your resume but sometimes necessary.

I was totally gonna wait until my maternity leave but yesterday I was so done. I had to call off because of the weather where i am. They were closing roads down. They basically thought I was lying because the stormy weather I said was coming didn't come. I can not control what cal trans and those people do with our roads. If I were to go to work I would have been stuck away from home with no place to go and away from my family. We had slim time frame to go through the roads they were gonna close down to get supplies that may be needed. We did that and picked up a generator because they told us our power may go out and we had just stocked up on meats. The attitude they had with me just set me off. The fact I was gonna quit anyways made it easier to do it lol. I've tried quitting once there the right way and they told me to wait a month first. I think they just didn't wanna do the paper work at the time.
