@paigem774, everyone is different, but my experience was horrible after waking up I literally cried like a baby the first time standing up due to it feeling like my skin was getting ripped apart from the stitches as the days went on the pain didn’t go away (pain medication) is like your best friend and that’s coming from someone who hates pills an has a very high pain tolerance (rest) is also your best friend another thing if you have to go up stairs for any reason an have to use a stairs may sound very weird but the way not to hurt as much is to walk up them backwards 😂 no joke I was what 😐 the first time hearing that at first I tried to go up normal wasn’t happenings I tried backwards an it worked just very slow but it worked...... good luck!!!!
I went through 40ish hours of labor before being told I had to have an emergency c section.. couldn’t feel anything during but the recovery was hell. Literally worst pain. Just take it slow, take the medicines and I suggest a pillow to use as support after on your stomach. A soft big one, it was my best friend. And realize you’ll be out for the count for a little. So get a station at home in your bedroom for you and baby before you get home! You won’t want to move much so having a little bedside station will make life so much better. I used a plastic 3 drawer rolling bin thing.. worked perfect. Had 3 days worth of clothes in one drawer, breastfeeding station in another, and all changing/swaddling/random crap in another. With my big jug of water and medicines on top 😂 And no matter how much it hurts just try your best to walk when they make you at the hospital, it helps, but the first walk to the bathroom killed me 😣
I dont think is that bad hun thats my opinion a pillow is great like she said and something to wrap ur stomach is the best feeling ever cuz without it u feel like ur insides r kinda all over the place wjrn u put that on it feeps tight around ur tummy n that really helps a lot o and they will give u ice for the surgery
I’m praying I don’t have to end up having a csection. I’ll have a 1 year old by the time I go into labor and having to care for both kids is going to be hard especially if I have a csection

Some people say it was simple, and they recover well. My boss was up cleaning her hospital room and walking around hours after her second c-section.
Mine? Worst recovery pain of my life. During didn’t hurt, you can’t feel anything really besides pressure. But the recovery...ughhh.

Let me add though! Scheduled c-sections are MUCH easier on the body.
Unplanned / emergency c-secs are much more painful.
Like mine: I was in labor for 17 hours before surgery. So, my body was worn out and exhausted before it was even time for surgery.
That’s going to make recovery much harder.
When it’s scheduled your body isn’t exhausted and over it when the surgery begins.
