Moms that have lost a mom or a parent in general, is there a way to make it feel real or will it…
Moms that have lost a mom or a parent in general, is there a way to make it feel real or will it come in time? My mom passed away Wednesday and I swear it doesnt even feel real. Like I keep thinking I will see her in a few days

Sorry for your loss, I couldn't imagine losing one of my parents right now, I still really need them both. I don't even want to think about it, if I do I get anxiety. I lost my grandfather when I was 20 though and that didn't feel real to me for a very long time, it was like he just disappeared. I still felt that I'd see him whenever I went to my grandparent's house and his scent was still very present in the home... I wish he could have met my boys.

My deepest sympathy goes to you. I buried our other daughter in May she passed at 17 weeks gestational and it was so hard. It still is... I have my break downs and cry because I hardly ever talked to her and think she died because of me or of a broken heart because my husband and I was arguing a lot.

It never feels real. I lost my mom 10 years ago, when I was 12. Then I lost my dad 6 years ago. I’m used to my mom being gone, but I still try to call or text my dad on occasion. Sometimes it feels like I’ll see him this weekend, and then I just don’t. Sometimes I think that they’ll come home, and maybe it would all just be one big, albeit cruel, joke.
I’m very sorry for your loss. If you need to vent or talk, you are welcome to message me.

So sorry for your loss mama! I lost my dad in January and it still feels so surreal sometimes. I look at his ashes everyday and still can't believe he's gone. What it took for me to realise totally that he was gone was not getting phone calls everyday, then his birthday passed and I couldn't call to wish him a happy birthday that morning. It will take a while, but personally I've found it's the little things and time that make it more real.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my dad in May 2017 and honestly some days I have to tell my self it's real. On nice sunny days I picture him on the porch and think to my self I'm going to visit him. It takes a while to fully feel real. I still have my break downs because it was so sudden. But it really takes time honey.

Wen my dad passed away I went to my bedroom window n looked up into the clouds n just ask God, can u plz help me except this loss, n help me be ok with it, n fully understand that my dad is in a better place, n the next day ur got easier. That pain-ache,loss will never go away, but it will get easier in time. I'm truly so sorry for the loss of your mom. I'll say a prayer for u. It helps to for me anyway talk up to ur mom, ask her to visit u in ur dream. It can be comforting.

My step dad isn’t dead but he might as well be. It’ll be a year in December and I can tell you when I walk through the door I still expect him to be sitting there.
It just takes a long time I think.
