Since I found out I was pregnant I’ve been one of those women saying I can do it without an epidural. My mom had me and my twin brothers without one and I have a pretty high pain tolerance, so I think. Well, was watching birthing videos last night and I think I’m going to consider an epidural now lol I don’t think watching those was a good idea.

I didn’t want an epidural with my 1st and it got to the point when I was at a 7 and in labor for 3 1/2 days that I couldn’t take it anymore and asked for it. The best decision ever! Now this pregnancy I might not be allowed to get one and I’m freaking out. 😬

I haven't had one with all of my kids now. But with this last one man I contractions I wasn't feeling until I woke up with two really really intense ones. Told the nurse I wanted one . and while she went from my room to nurses station . o was pushing . 2 pushes and nurse catching her. She was born . so I thought I was going to do it differently this time. NOT !!!

I didn't get one because I didn't get to the hospital in time. She was born within 30 minutes after we got there.

@myriahboyett710, I have a low platelet count so if it’s too low when I go in I can’t get one. They’ve been monitoring it for a month and a half now. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it goes up!

@myriahboyett710 I'm not really sure. I guess I was glad I didn't have to spend time in labor at the hospital, but it was scary, I felt her coming out while I was in the wheelchair on the way from the truck to the delivery room! At least it felt that way lollll I want to stress that I was very lucky... I guess I'm kind of embarrassed to admit this but I woke up in labor that morning and asked my bf to take me to the hospital at 5 am, ( started at 12am) and he didn't listen to me. I was begging him to go, the hospital was only 2 miles away and we didn't leave until 9am.

@staces, no need to feel embarrassed! She was your first and no one is perfect! How were you suppose to know? I’m happy y’all both were happy and healthy! You’re a champ for doing it without any pain reliever!

@myriahboyett710 aw thank you. Of course. So happy to share and encourage others to go natural if they can. My baby was alert, eyes open immediately, latched during skin to skin as soon as they put him on me and things because no drugs went into my system. :)
