So im wondering, since the nurses told me I lost immunity to chicken pox and measles, should I quit work? I work at a busy restaurant where a lot of people come and go...I should've asked my midwife but it didn't cross my mind at the time. Am I just over thinking? I don't want to risk getting one of those while pregnant albeit rare

@masseymomma16 I don't know! I've been vaccinated but they told me this, for rubella(measles) and chicken. Pox 🤷🤷 they say I need to get vaccinated post partum again

I got vaccinated as a kid and when I got pregnant and they did my blood work it came back that I wasn’t immune. You don’t need to quit your job.
They will give you a shot once baby is born (that’s what they did with me at least)

@jellygodmother I was also kinda hoping I can use this as an excuse to quit lmao. I know I can get it post partum. Just didn't know you could lose immunity

Quitting your job seems a little extreme 😂 but hey if you get out of working , I don't think I could be on my feet all day ....

@mamachey no i haven't gotten it... Ever...I just never have heard of anything like this before? Like I got my typical blood work done and all of a sudden they tell me I'm not immune to chicken pox and measles anymore, and I'm like what?? Yknow I've had all my vaccines and stuff...so I don't understand how you lose immunity, like what makes you lose immunity? I mean I am a bit more concerned now that I'm pregnant, and very early, last thing I want to do is contract something that can harm my unborn baby. However I wonder if my doctors are like insane? Haha

Drs are still ppl here they dont even test to check and they dont recommend shots for the most part . Realistically your no more likely to get sick from anything then usual.
