Has anyone ever had to have surgery while pregnant? Did everything turn out okay? I suffered a concussion and a broken nose over the weekend and found out I’ll be needing surgery to fix my nose. The doctor assured me it’s fine, but I’m really nervous for the baby. He said the surgery really shouldn’t be put off 😕

Yeah true of course. They will just have to rebreak it if you do wait. That's awful. Well, either way, good luck!! 🙏

@kambam, it is very painful, and yeah I’m having trouble breathing my septum is badly deviated from impact which I think is why he said not to wait. But you’re right, a 2nd opinion wouldn’t hurt. My understanding, though, is that it’s best to fix it within the first two weeks before the bone sets

My SIL broke her leg during pregnancy and had to go under for surgery. I would really try to get a second opinion on your nose though. See what your options are to wait it out and what would happen. Unless you just can't breathe or something. God that sounds painful

Thank you that makes me feel better! & yeah, I know it’s best to get it done now, I’m just a little nervous. Still can’t believe it even happened really!

Yep. Gallbladder removal for me as well. You can request extra checks with the Doppler before/after to check the heart rate if that will make you feel better.

As someone who didn’t get her nose fixed, get it done before it sets.
