@abigailyanez Glad you're feeling better! Few things are worse than being a sick mama... Chores and responsibilities don't stop just because we are ill. Hugs!
@xryztalroze I feel way better. It worked the day i took it but then it wore off the next day and i just let it. And the following days i was better. :) i took the kids one and i feel good.
@abigailyanez He he still talks about how difficult that day was and how I didn't understand he was sick and what was he supposed to do drip his nose all over me? Oh it's such a good thing that we can laugh at this and thankfully he did a much better job with our second daughter. And Benadryl was completely off limits!! Lol. oh and he blames the Benadryl on me because I recommended it to him how was I supposed to know he'd have such a reaction and then it would have such a long-standing effect on him the next day?
@abigailyanez Mine took a Benadryl the night before our first was born for the first time in his life and had such a Benadryl hangover the next day that he was absolutely useless during my labor and delivery. to this day two and a half years later he hasn't lived it down but it makes for a funny story for our dear daughter and the last tablet of that particular package is it her memory box with a letter.
@xryztalroze thank you so much! I hope it makes me feel better. 😊 and yes I just texted my mom that he brought that and shes laughing as well my dad did the same with my sister when she was 6, he bought 6 month socks instead of her size LOL
@abigailyanez That's a wise solution. And then he can rub you down with Vicks to help you feel better. Get some rest mama. I know it's not easy, but it's needed.
@abigailyanez That should be fine. It has the same ingredients. I prefer the generic brands. Same quality,in most cases, but without the price tag. I do pay extra to get the true VICKS brand vapor rub though. There is a marked difference between it and the knock off. I was so scared to take anything during my 2 pregnancies. I was miserable. Hope you feel better!
@xryztalroze it's a CVS brand of benadryl allergy relief. My husband went to get me the benadryl brand, but I'm gonna take a tablet and hopefully it will help me feel better. If I get side effects, I wont take another...I'll stick with tea or go through it. Perks of pregnancy. It's not horrible but it's super annoying.
@abigailyanez Also, coconut oil and Vicks Vapor rub all over your chest and back, behind your ears, and on your feet with socks can really help. Helps breathing and with any muscles aches you may have. Hope you feel better fast!!!
@abigailyanez There are many beliefs about dyes. They are not necessarily harmful but can cause side effects like anything. So when pregnant it's always best to avoid what you can. But it's not always possible. What is the name of the medicine you showed? Boil some water and add honey with lemon. It has always been a great help to me.
@xryztalroze it has the same ingredients. What's wrong with the dye? Is it harmful? I'm about to just make some chamomile tea and some sugar and honey. I used to drink that everytime I got sick before pregnancy. It helps me the next day. This flu type stuff keeps coming back so I wanted to take some medicine.
Benadryl is safe. I only take medication as a very last resort and have been told by my OB and Pediatrician that it is ok during pregnancy and for breastfeeding. Hope you feel better.
Tip: boil ginger and drink the water as a "tea" sipping lightly to help with sore throat and cough. Cut with milk and honey if it is too strong for you.
