My doctor said to clean the blood or with rubbing alcohol because it works best and with water you’ll have to clean in a been rougher. And then clean inside with just water.

Keep it clean. My son's pediatrician told me to clean it with rubbing alcohol but all doctors are different. Call and ask yours.
