Unfortunately in this day and age that is how MOST companies think we are an at will work state which means that we arent protected and can be fired for just looking at someone funny unless you work for a company that has a union you basically have no rights

I switched days because I’m trying to get my kids back and I have visitations on those days and they told me that it makes them mad because I can only work until a certain time and I couldn’t work whenever they wanted. I got yelled at because I look a 13 minute break but everyone else can take 4 breaks. @mom13,

@bay_73 yeah unfortunately they can do as they please now a days though where i last worked the women would take 5 min breaks instead of a 15 and their half hr lunch cuz they were smokers i dont smoke so i took my 15 at one time and my half hr at one time as well but the company didnt care about that

Ugh! I had a job like that (full time retail management). They didn't believe my family should come first, and god forbid if there was a family emergency. I was never so happy to leave and still glad to this day I did. Thank you Michael's Arts and Crafts for teaching me to stay away from employers like you 🤣
