I almost want to see a different OB than the guy I had earlier yesterday. When we did the transvaginal ultrasound he told me he found the gestational sac and showed to me and said "obviously its too small to see anything yet we will have to check again in a couple weeks to see of its a viable pregnancy." I said "ok! So this means at least that the pregnancy isn't ectopic right? Since we can see the sac." Then he said "oh umm I don't know our bodies can play tricks on us but if your not experiencing severe naseua or pain in your ovaries you should be fine." It's like really? Why make me worry instead of saying most likely not ectopic and things are looking good so far. I know he can't give false hope or whatever but at least being a bit nicer would help. I don't know I might just be emotional about it all.

@girlmom. I'm glad its not just me I told my husband this and my husband said I was being to emotional and the guy was fine. Its like no he's kind of rude and I don't feel like I can talk to him about any of my symptoms because he's just going to make me feel uneasy.

@girlmom. According to my patient portal it says my next appointment is with another OB so hopefully she is a lot better.

When I was 6w my midwife saw the sac and the ultrasound was specifically to rule out ectopic so I am sure you are ok, and that guy is a d&$%

@butterflystylist thanks! Luckily it says in my patient portal that I will be seeing another obgyn for my next appointment and ultrasound so hopefully she's a lot better than he was.

@nervousmommyca right?! Thank you! like you pointed out the sac to me and said here it is but still saying ectopic may be a thing still? As far as I know seeing a sac rules out ectopic.

@aylenrose, no worries my midwife says it does so I would ignore the jerk, relax and ask to not have him for future appointments. I will only see women at my practice guys in ob seem to act like asshole know it alls, and its hilarious because they can't have babies so no matter what women dr that have babies know more

@nervousmommyca luckily the obgyn I'm seeing next time is a girl so I'm going to request to have her the rest of this pregnancy. Its true I dont mind male obgyns if they are kind and helpful but when they are rude and can even answer a question right yeah they can go lol

@aylenrose, I got stuck with one of the guys in the practice with my first pregnancy in a different state for my delivery he turned off my epidural when I started pushing, my new ob office said that dr's mostly male, used to believe that epidural slows pushing, which has been proven wrong for 20 years. I tore had over 13 stitches and had almost 4 hours of pushing. My son got stuck, was born with a fever and I fainted. After I found out that he did that to me I am DONE with them.

@nervousmommyca omg that's awful I'm so sorry. I had a male doctor deliver my baby but he was only there for the pushing part not anything else.
