What crib did you ladies get for baby ?? I'm so indecisive when it comes to everything about setting…

For the first month, baby is too small for a crib and will most likely sleep in a bassinet next to your bed anyway.

You’ve got time. Better to wait and know then to buy wrong too early and feel rushed.

You’re still only in your second trimester, so really don’t feel pressed for time. That’s the last thing you should be stressed about. The best nurseries take patience. Plus once your done..... that’s it.

@kmsespy, Many babies sleep in cribs at birth it doesn’t mean their too small it’s generally just more convenient to use a bassinet.

I used a West Coast Kids Cherry wood crib for my first two and it was amazing ❤️

Crib was our first purchase, and we bought it when I was 21 weeks. 🤷🏼‍♀️

We got ours at west coast kids...it’s a 4 in one so he will grow into it. Also got the matching dresser. We love it

I loved our crib until we moved and I had to take it apart and put it back together again. It's like @penelope127 crib with the changing table on the side and it converts as they grow. That being said I never plan to take it apart again 😂 just in case. And the conversion sets for ours were expensive. Was cheaper for us to buy a toddler bed brand new then pay for the first conversion set. That thing is going to be sold with this house when we move out. 😂😂😂

If you can fit a crib in your bedroom by all means get one but I guarantee you won’t have your baby in a completely separate room for the first couple months.

Whatever works honestly. In my situation a bassinet/rocker is convenient for many reasons.

The size, mobility and easy access.

It’s also not as heavy of a concern on my conscience having her sleep in a different room in a bed ten times her size. First kid for me though. So I’m just taking advice from my parents. 🤷🏻‍♀️ again, I think I was more going for wait to decide than be concerned for time when your just hitting half way in pregnancy. I’m 29 weeks and have nothing purchased and really not that worried. I buy as I go as I see fit. That’s how I know what’s most important over excess.

@angikay, there’s so many out there to pick. I don’t really see buying a crib as excess. It makes the room more complete having it.

@kmsespy babies are definetly not too small to fit in a crib. Lol however, the main reason I made this post is because I'm so indecisive and have been looking at cribs for awhile now, and can't make a decision on what crib to get.. so I figured I would ask the mommy's on here to see what they chose ! I'm actually just excited about getting her nursery set up, and in order for her nursery to be complete.. I'd love her crib to be in it!! And I'd love for it to be done by the time she makes her arrival. She will not be in a bassinet until she outgrows it , she will be in her room, in her bed before too long. The way my indecisiveness is, 17 weeks and some change isn't much time for me to decide on anything lol she will sleep in her bassinet, beside me for just a little while, then she will be in her crib !! If that means me getting up more during the night, and checking on her, and all the extra things that come with it, I'm fine with that.. it's all apart of being a mom.. don't mind it at all.

@angikay, sounds like you’ve got your mind made up. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I was just giving my 2c on being a new mom but I don’t think my point was to say babies were too small for cribs at all, in fact I think for the first few months the crib is just gunna be in the way for me. I don’t have a spare room for a nursery nor the SO money to spend on the big stuff yet so really a bassinet makes more sense for me.

Everyone is different I suppose.

@kmsespy I get where you're coming from. You and I just have different living situations. Had I still been in my little apartment, I would've just went with a bassinet as I wouldn't have room for a crib. But we just moved into a 3 bedroom 2 bath home, and so I have 2 extra rooms, because we plan to have another little about a year after scarlette is here ! So scarlette will have her own room, and I'm just anxious to set up her nursery but definetly not stressed about it.

@angikay, I feel ya. Nesting started kicking in early. 💞 anticipation only gets worse. But it is smart to plan early. I just shut down though.

I have yet to even fully grasp what’s growing inside me right now. 🙈 let alone start building around it. I feel horrid I haven’t bought a damn thing for my girl but I wouldn’t have the space anyway.

Poor babe. Some day we will have our 3 bedroom home too.
