Okay I'm sorry girls but I have no where else to vent!
I am so tired of everyone I talk to thinking that a C-section is an easy way out of labour. I personally have never pushed a child our of my vagina so please don't take this the wrong way but the recovery time is alot longer for some after a C-section and just because my baby wasn't pushed out doesn't mean I didn't go through labour. I got to 10 cm if it wasn't for my hemorrhage and my baby boy being stuck I would have pushed. Also personally I would have rather had a vaginal birth. So please again don't take this wrong I understand everyone has a different opinion and that is perfectly fine, I just needed to voice mine. So to sum up a C-section is hard and painful and horrid and in some cases just as scary as a 'normal' birth. So don't be thinking any individual that has a section through choice or not is any less of a mother.
Thanks for listening👌🙂

I had a c section and i agree! It is alot harder and even now 9 months on I still get pain and some stuff I have to be careful with. I also got to 10cm and pushed for 2 hours and would of rather pushed her out but its whatever is safe so don't listen to anyone else xx

@vixster I hate the way some people look at C-section. I have been asked if I was to 'posh to push' and I have been told I have 'failed as a mother right from the start' mine was an emergency so after hours of full blown labour losing alot of blood and me and my baby being to close for comfort with death it's hard to hear people slag it off. But thank you it's amazing how much it means when someone understands😘xx

@abbyrose I know Hun it's just hard at times glad I've got this app to be honest xx

@kiri.k.t8 I'm sorry but those people that said that to you need to rot in a deep dark hell. Whatever way it took to get the baby out, still meant 9 months of effing carrying a human being and growing it, and then either going through a laborious labour or even a medicated "easy" labour with whatever drugs you needed, or having your entire body cut open, 8 layers sewn back together and not being able to walk for a week, not being able to lift more than your baby for a month, having a scar and residual pain for months and the emotionally trauma that usually comes with a csection, whatever the method YOU BECAME A FUXKING MOTHER IT DOESN'T MATTER you're still dealing with sleepless nights, vomit, nappies, crying, moaning, shits, piss, giggles, pain. It's a joke to make anyone feel any which way about something which in my opinion is neither the beginning nor the end of becoming a mother, it's a process that happens. I've had both and my natural birth was a 100 times easier, not a drop of pain relief, stitches that killed for a week, but it was nothing compared to the emotional trauma for me going into an emergency csection, feeling like I never birthed my child, and also being out of function for nearly 3 months because every time I thought I was okay, the pain would suddenly ramp up. I slept sitting up for 3 whole months because if I lay down the stitches would hurt too bad to switch sides! I've never had anyone say anything to me either way so I'm lucky but honestly appalls me what people have said to yoy.

I've had an emergency section with my first(daughter) and opted for a elective section for my second(son)... after my daughter I was terrified of labour and worried that my sons Labour wouldn't progress as hers hadn't and I would be in the same position needing an emergency section.. my recovery after my elective section was so much better than the emergency 1. I'm glad I opted for a 2nd section as he was huge (9lb 7.5oz). Alot of people don't get that it's major bloody surgery.. I think I'd punch some1 if they said anything like that to me!! Top at bottom of it is u have safely brought ur baby into the world and will mother them for the rest of their lives..
These people that make comments like that are just plain ignorant. Xx

Thank you everyone that has commented. It's amazing how many different reasons there is to why people have needed things to happen. I am so thankful for all the woman on this app I was in a mood I haven't been in in a long time and you guys have gave me a smile again❤️

I've never had a c section but the thought of it absolutely terrifies me, I was very lucky with Theo, it was a very uncomplicated delivery, he came fast and without issue. I have a friend who's had one (elective) and one vaginal birth. She said she felt more at ease while having the section, everything was planned and that made her feel more relaxed, but once those drugs wore off she felt like she was in a living hell for about three weeks, she couldn't sit on the toilet on her own, couldn't have a bath for ages. The recovery from her section was much worse than her vaginal delivery.
No matter how you bring your children into the world, you're a mammy! As long as you and baby are safe that's all that matters. X

I had a very similar birth story to you, pushing and he got really stuck so emergency c-section. I had a lot of pain after and was exhausted like any new Mum. It is not an easy option! I’m hoping for a vaginal delivery this time, but whatever is safest will work best for me

I've had 2 c sections and agree. It's not an easy option. My 1st got infected, took forever to heal and started opening up either end, I even had to call an ambulance, it started pouring out with blood in the middle of the night and i started shaking uncontrollably. I was in labour for over 80 hours and baby had, had enough his heart rate dipped and never came back up, I was rushed straight off to theatre, luckily I'd already opted for the epidural that morning so they didn't have to put me to sleep. My 2nd was a planned a VBAC that didn't happen, baby had other ideas, he was an unstable lie. Healed much quicker but I literally did nothing, couldn't Hoover, couldn't do my washing anything simple like that for fear of the same thing happening to my scar. I have pain in my scar now 3 years later after my 2nd c section and this is due to scar adhesions. The best way to describe the pain is like being ripped open from the inside outwards. I battled with depression for months after my 1st being told its the easy way out, you never really gave birth though did you, it can't hurt that much, you can't feel it. I thought to myself you know what I put my babys life first, i did what I had to, to make sure my baby was safe, if i hadn't of done that I might not of had my baby safely. I still gave birth, i still created a life and carried a life in my body for 9 months! I am no less of a mother. In the end will all do what we can to ensure our babies are safe!

You're a strong momma whether you give birth naturally or by c section, I'd say stronger having baby by c section as you have a longer recovery time. Do what you thinks best for you who cares! Plus carrying a bab for 9 months makes you amazing anyway ❤

I had to have an emergency c section with my first daughter due to me not dialating. It was a shame as I wanted to experience the normal birth. I must say my recovery wasn't to bad. As long as I kept on top of my painkiller I wasn't to bad. Bearing in mind I had no help at all. Now I'm pregnant again and I'm thinking of c section again. Only because I have no close friends or family to watch my daughter when I go into labour and hospital. This way we can organise a date so my mum an watch her so my partner can be with me. ( he missed the birth of his daughter last time😢😢 ) I'd love a natural birth for my second baby but I'm worried I could end up in hospital longer. Other option is home birth but I think that's out the window as I'm a high risk pregnancy.
No matter what way anyone chooses to have their babies. We are mothers and we know what's best for our kids xx
