When do they do the genetic disorder test ??? And the diabetic test where u drink that sugary stuff…

All OBs do it differently but mine does the glucose test at 24 weeks. I’m not sure on the genetic test though as I’ve never had it done.

I had the genetic testing done first trimester. My insurance covered 80% of the cost. The glucose test was just before third trimester.

@tennesseehawk, its the blood work where they test for down syndrome and stuff but thanks girl im dreading the day I have to do the glucose test I almost threw up when I had to drink it before

@itty_bitty, I had just medical and my ob did it while I was prego with my son

@emontesmom, yes I know what it is 😊 I’ve just never had a reason to get it done. My OB always asks during my second tri visit if I want to do it but I’m not sure when they actually do the test, I know that doesn’t help your question much lol

My OB has it done at 12-13 weeks. Not my feelings whatsoever but they do it earlier enough for those to be given the option of 'continuing' a pregnancy if a child with these birth defects are unwanted.
