It’s been such a long week for us 😓😫 had the baby on Saturday left home Monday evening . Back to the doctor Tuesday and Wednesday . Admitted back to a different hospital a bit far from home Wednesday evening and we were supposed to leave today but are being kept until tmrrw :( my little mans bilirubin levels were so high and platelets a bit low . They said worse case he might need a blood transfusion but really praying light therapy brings him back to normal levels 😭 I’m an emotional wreck just trying to keep it together. I just want to be home cuddling my little guy . I hate seeing him get pricked so many times ...💔

Prayers your way🙏 I know the feeling my son had bilirubin high too and he stay 12 hours in phototherapy it was heartbreaking see him like that not able to cuddle him just to feed him for half hour and then go to the pediatrician a day after being discharge from hospital.

We went through the same thing. Birth Wednesday morning, went home Thursday afternoon, back in different hospital Friday night bc the light therapy bed never showed up at our house, finally discharged Sunday afternoon. All those heal sticks! It's terrible. And it's terrible not being able to hold baby except for feedings! Have heart, you should be out of there soon. ::hugs::

@kjcross,I know it’s terrible . Idk if it’s because he was early but he’s not a bleeder so they really have to squeeze his foot 😭 they were at a 20 and the normal they said is under 11

Yes I went through that with my first and I was such a wreck too her levels was still high couldn't leave hospital till they go down even when I took her home they brought me a machine with the light that she had to still use when she goes to sleep at night and she had to keep going to go eat pricked to get her levels checked but it was okay

@donjanea_luv, that’s basically what we’re having to do :( it’s our third day here today and it’s still at 13.1 it’s going down so slow . Still no news of when were being released .
