@fakoffyeh 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️ I was hoping maybe someone would say they did it on their own cause I feel like nobody takes me seriously ever. I remember when I left the hospital with my daughter and my mom was saying how if i feel "sad" (thats how she put it) to ask for help no matter what and when I asked I literally got bitched out

Definitely talk to your doctor! Mine gave me Zoloft for a while and that helped a ton. It’s normal to experience PPD and there’s no shame at all in talking to your dr about it and taking something for it. I saw a therapist and took medication and I was back to normal within a couple months.

@teresha_h go to your Dr. Did your ob not ask how you were feeling at your 6w check-up?

@teresha_h, I did it on my own. I had PPD as soon as I got home from the hospital and baby wasn’t with me. Even after she finally came home from the NICU, nothing felt right. I had just gone through a very traumatic experience and I didn’t know how to cope. Over time, I think you just do. Because you have to hold it together for your little one. You just have to. They need us. Don’t think about the depression too much. Think about what you have to do to keep your baby girl (and yourself) happy then take small steps to get there. Little by little, time will chip away at the pain until you forget it was ever there to begin with. I have faith this will happen for you. Baby girl needs you mama and she wants you happy 💞

I started going to therapy ... do your research , weigh your options and pick what’s best for you ❤️

With me so far it has been time... music and fresh morning walks. I put my LO in his moby wrap. Nurse him while I’m on a walk and listen to music! I take deep breaths and just clear my mind. For me something about early fresh morning air feels so revitalizing and clean.
