Is it possible for a cat to die of a broken heart? Like honest question. I got my grandmas cat in June, my grandma passed the day before Easter. Out of nowhere she has a hematoma in her ear, and I was advised to let it go away on its own because draining it and surgery, it could still come back. They said after a couple days the pain would subside and it will reabsorb. But she hasn’t been eating, and she’s lost some weight. I honestly feel like she’s so devastated that she just wants to be with my grandma. I was talking to SO last night about it, and I told him I just had a feeling she wouldn’t last long. Last night she laid on my pillow, just sulking. Now this morning after my daughters morning nap, she woke up laughing hysterically saying stop. I feel like my grandma is here and the cat is just ready to go. My heart hurts. I’m hoping it isn’t the case. But honestly? I have a deep down feeling that it is.
