MIL started a new job working with CPS, she's overlooking visitations. Of course she can't give detailed information, really anything beyond what type of case she was dealing with. It's been 2 days and she actually came home almost in tears. She is doing something she is passionate about and wants to be a part of, as she had to experience an unfair situation when my SO was young. It's amazing she wants to help but the poor woman is very passionate and emotional when it comes to kids and she can hold back well in the moment but once she's out of it she just hurts for the ones being hurt. So freaking proud of her. 💕

People who have careers working with children often shoulder a heavy emotional burden. It’s very stressful and emotionally draining.

@ek620 Yeah, I know. I did in home caregiving for terminally ill children. I've never seen her like this, honestly didn't know just how strong she was.

I went to school for social working and decided I couldn't do it. They are very underpaid for the type of emotional stress they go through. Bless her and all other workers who are passionate and strong enough to go through it!

Ohhh this would totally be me! I’m a strong woman but when it comes to my or any children I’m so weak and cry like a baby. I didn’t have a good childhood and had to grow up very fast so seeing kids in terrible situations would want me to bring them all Home with me😫

@melissaredfield87 It's so sad seeing children in bad situations, they couldn't do anything about it to put them there. It is great though when the family does get to be together again, depending on what happened and how they do etc.
