I heard that it was recommended that a 1 year old take two naps during the day. He always takes a nap at 11 and it lasts for a couple hours. Well lately he REFUSES to take his 4 o’clock nap. I put him in his bed and offer his milk and then he stays in his crib either crying or just making random noises. He will do this for an hour and I feel like I have no option but to take him out. Should I continue to force him to take his nap? Without it he usually gets very grumpy and sleeping and goes to sleep around 6:30-7 but then wakes up super early and the cycle continues lol

My 10 month old takes 1 nap a day, last between typically 1 hr to 2 hrs. (Usually only 1 hr) which the nap starts typically between 10 a.m-11a.m. Then she goes to bed about 7 every night . Its been like this for a couple months now

It may be a sleep regression. My son had one around 12-13 months and it was mostly nap refusal. I just kept to his routine as much as I could and eventually he got back on track. He did drop his second nap officially around 18 months though.

My son stopped talk g two naps a day at about 6 or 7 months he would refuse. He's now 2 and a half one nap a day at 1230 to 130 wakes up around 3 and back to bed for the night around 730. He may just not need it anymore 😊

Maybe try switching his first nap earlier? So he wants to take a second nap. So he isn’t cranky later in the day

Looks like it’s time to drop a nap. Do one in the early afternoon. Mine was the same. Switched him to one at 11:30 and it’s worked out great.

My son was down to one nap before one. He also goes to bed at 7. He used to sleep in later in the mornings but his schedule is pretty much the same as it was.
